The following is a transcreation of one of Sri Sri Babathakur’s songs (Song No. 1 appearing within the Karma and Sadhan Tattva section of Swanubhava Sudha Vol. 2) by Sri Ramen Basu.
Night and
day in this worldly life
In between
the various jobs you do
Let the
name of the beloved Shyama Ma (Goddess Kali)
Remain
always in your mind
Keep your
heart-door open
Calling
Her name, even if you occasionally forget
For Mother
Shyama resides in your heart
In the
form of Consciousness of all
She
reveals Herself in all actions of our sense organs
She is
everywhere in the outer world
Unite with
each and everyone in Her name
In all
your actions, thoughts and ideas
Self-revealing
Mother plays around
Instead of
differentiating
Any of the
infinite manifests of full Prana;
Oh mind,
see Her all around
Connect in
this way with Her
Life will be
free if you can
Over will
be your wants and achievements
Gone will
be the selfish ego
Accept the
rulings of self sacrifice
Surrender
fully, thus oh mind and
Ye
remain always in Samsara (the worldly life)
Submitting
the ‘doership’
And the
results of your actions
To the
Mother divine
Be an
observer and mingle forever
In the Consciousness
of the Divine Mother
Witness oh
mind the Supreme Mother
Full of
Existence, Consciousness and Bliss
Submitted at the lotus feet of the Master
